Episode 13 Season 3 "Bringing out the Dead" was troublesome for several of the characters. Caroline, my fave character faced the loss of her father who opted not to transition into a vampire. Caroline, was willing to force him to take vampire blood but her father wouldn't hear any of it because it what was he believed in, it was his strength. I'm curious to see how this will affect Caroline, of course. Would she even go through bereavement like a normal human? Perhaps since she is still not as old as the Salvatore brothers and even close to Klaus and his siblings. Yet Damon said they (vampires) can opt to switch off their humanity. It sounds too easy for them, huh? Not facing the burden and anguish of losing a love one. Another character that I like is Alaric. He stood in place like a uncle for Elena and Jer and now, someone in Mystic Falls is targeting the founders. It seems the enchanted ring he's wearing is taking its time to help him under supernatural death. Does that bode well to Alaric? Definitely not especially to Elena who at this episode could no longer bear to lose a family member. The song was played towards the end of show as Caroline's father passed and switching from Elena waiting for Alaric to heal.

I was searching for my next Skywatch pic in my folders and I just couldn't help not notice the date when this was taken. :D I guess I must have went with Doc Brown in his cool Delorean. This was actually New Year's Eve 1/1/2012 and I even forgot to use the Fireworks feature/setting of the camera so I don't know how if there would be any difference. The fireworks sure looked like frostings on the cake.

I heard this song during an intermission at the "Face to Face Westlife Concert Tour" and I said to my friend that this song fits Dean Winchester to a T especially the part, where "I would walk 500 more" since it seemed like that he had. If you've been following the show since it premiered, Dean, I think walked many miles in his shoes. So when I was reading the companion book, I recalled this song. :D I wish the song did make it in the show's OST but after so far it hasn't.

We've seen what J.J. Abrams can do :Lost, Fringe, Super 8 (which I haven't seen yet and I'm looking forward to Alcatraz), Star Trek Reboot and Eric Kripke with his super hit "Supernatural," "Boogeyman", and a new show coming "Deadman" (which I'm eager to see) are teaming up for a TV project called "Revolution," which is going to be a thriller/adventure show.

I'm so excited with this collaboration and I find it utterly interesting too. Even though I lost my way in Lost - too many POVs, Fringe revitalized my interest back to the writing prowess of Mr. Abrams. I'm curious what "Revolution" will offer us. As always for all new shows, I hope ample time and enough marketing will make the show known enough to a lot of possible viewers. Yeah, I'm still pining why Chaos was scrubbed. :(

This was two days later from the Chinese New Year Celebration. I was the second flight of steps and waiting at the landing for the Chinese dragon and Lion dances to commence. I heard a lot of drums at the background but no sign of the Chinese dragon.

Gointothestory tweeted this for all Ringers and I just can't pass this up for not posting it here. Awesome performance and the cinematography and orchestra backing just gave me goosebumps. I didn't know violinist Lindsey Stirling was in the America's Got Talent. I wish there was iTunes Philippines. Argh. I can't wait for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey!

Planting Gaillardia

Almost a month ago, I tried my hand in planting Gaillardia from seeds. According to the seed pack, the seeds need to germinate for 15 days. Yet, 15 days passed and I was beginning to worry. I went online to check any additional information and according to several sites I visited today, the seeds prefer to be in a well-drained soil. I'm not sure if I placed enough coco fibers in the soil to let it breath. Does it look too pack? I also found out today that they have to be germinated under the full sun. The seed pack instructions wasn't very complete. I hope these will still grow.Do I need a seed starter mix? I hope not because I don't know where to get one. The garden store didn't mention or carried anything close to garden mix starter. I guess I will have to wait and see.

It would be cool if these bloom into this the picture on the right. :D

The Voice was re-aired over at AXN Asia channel in preparation for Season 2 and I first heard this song from one of Mr. Zach Levi's tweetcasts and we all asked what the title of the song was and who sang. Apparently, he and his troop had left The Voice then. Subtly promoting his fave? I bet. :D *grinz* I was expecting to see a clip of ZL seated among the audience when AXN Asia aired the show, several months later but I didn't see him. I think Javier Colon is someone to watch out for and also Dia Frampton. :D

Reading through the pages that showcased underwater scenes and ongoing archaeological diggings from Jack Howard's teams brought quite an exciting tapestry for me. Just like the song when I listened to it, there was hint of other-worldliness, which I guess I described old civilizations. There was also a cinematic feel to the song that was right with the book.

The story presented a re-discovery of Troy and other connections stemming from it. Presently, I'm at a chapter where Rebecca, Jack's daughter sought a meeting with one of her father's mentors, Hugh (his last name slips my mind at the moment). Hugh and several other characters in the story had gone through the first World War and the gravity of that experience (or any war for that matter) always make me think that it can isolate the veterans. Some veterans who were lucky enough to return to their lives before the WW were left with the chance to impart or share lessons whatever they might be to the next willing ear. While Hugh wasn't imparting life lessons, he shared vital information in connection to the present expedition had recently unearthed. I felt this song lends an emotion from something in a distant past and then weaving the present where Rebecca comes in. She is the youngest team member so in a way, the torch is given to her.

Review: Letters to Juliet

My Thoughts
First, I have to say I can't get enough of this movie after watching it. I was a little tentative at the beginning even after watching the behind-the-scenes. The curiosity of Juliet's secretaries answering letters left on Verona and the possible mishaps along the way did tickle my intrigue. However, I was afraid it would turn out into a ho-hum sort of movie for me but I was proved wrong

The scenes that most will people scream cliche were stylishly poked at the viewer but it didn't come out annoying at all. Unlike some rom-com movies that you know it's going to happen and the scene has fallen flat when it came passing by. Perhaps it was because the movie was carried by two pairs of confident shoulders: Amanda Seyfied (Mamma Mia) and Christopher Egan (Kings) who reigned in the prickly, thorny, gotten-off-the-wrong foot kind of thing relationship just right and didn't go overboard. In fact, I was relieved Sophie wasn't depicted as know-it-all-rationalizing-when's-my-turn-chic. She was headstrong (she worked as a fact checker for the New Yorker) but in a quiet way. She has a dream that she wants to pursue but her job and her boss (altho he wasn't really tying her hands) weren't making it happen at the moment. However, when her boss gave her a tiny glimmer of hope that he will read her work, she beamed and perhaps this could also wash over the doldrums and faced whatever challenge she was facing her fiance, Victor, only that ray of cheer may not be enough.

Sophia and Victor
Where to begin that even a bystander can see the relationship was spiraling down the drain. Victor (portrayed by Gael Garcia Bernal) here provided some of the hilarity much to the expense of Sophia wanting at least a semblance of togetherness in the most romantic places (next to Paris) in the whole world yet it wasn't happening. In order to chill her boredom, Sophia decided that Victor should go the winery since the tour of the lovely city wasn't happening. Victor all happy that he was given this chance (and promised to make it up) left like a giddy kid in a candy store. However, all is not lost... Sophia on a look out for a story stumbled upon the Secretaries of Juliet and a 50-year-old letter. She was soon encouraged to answer and before you knew it, Claire with her grandson arrived in Verona and the adventure goes underway.

It was great that Sophia's skill as a fact-checker become instrumental in eliminating so many Lorenzo in Verona and when everyone was on their last strand of hope, luck would push to lead them to the right Lorenzo.

Charlie, through the whole experience of it was trading barbs most of the times with Sophia but in between he can be personable when he wants too. Hahaha.

The soundtrack was so apt to include Italian contemporary music. I think there was even an Italian pop group there too in the mix. I would like to get a copy of it when I get a chance. :D

I recommend this rom-com for anyone enjoys Amanda Seyfied, Christopher Egan and Vanessa Redgrave performances.

A 5/5 for me.

Movie Review: Sundays at Tiffany's

I accidentally saw the book last month at National Bookstore but I had already bought my limit of books that December hahaha. and I had to practically stir clear of the shelves. lolz. Then to my surprise, HBO Asia was airing this! Yay!

Summary from imdb.

Michael is a 'guardian angel' who appears when children need an invisible ('imaginary') friend until the birthday after his help worked. His charge from ages 5 to 10, would be-author Jane Claremont, is about to marry Tv series star Hugh Danderford. Now Michael appears again, but neither understands with which mission. He's in love with her, a new experience, gradually seduces her by being his irresistible, soul-mate-like self and becomes corporeal. She stubbornly claims toward him, Hugh and her best friend, a psychotherapist, to remain committed to Hugh.

Stars Alyssa Milano (Charmed, Young Justice) as Jane, Eric Winter (Mentalist, Moonlight) as Michael Friend, *giggles* Stockard Channing ( West Wing, Out of Practice)as Vivian (Jane's mom) and Ivan Sergei (Gravity, A Trace of Danger) as Hugh. My thoughts

The movie opened with two kids hanging out. Young Jane (portrayed by Emily Alyn Lind from Revenge) and Young Michael (portrayed by Gage Munroe from Immortals) who I thought did a good job respectively. I have to say Gage Munroe has a breakout quality in the future and worth watching out along with Ryan Kelley, Sterling Beaumon and Colby Paul. Apparently, it was time to leave young Jane (at her 10th birthday) which according to Michael was the end of the Age of Innocence and Tiffany's was his exit location since this was where he and Jane met seven years ago.

Flash forward 20 years later, Jane is engaged and preoccupied with her wedding arrangements so to speak, which she was obviously procrastinating as evidenced by her mother's Nth call to remind her about it. I thought it was a nice peak into Jane's life that while she repeatedly said that Hugh is a good man, throughout the movie, it sounded like she was continuously convincing herself that she does like the man. Yet it seemed there were some unresolved issues which would later crop up hence the return of Michael (grown up version) and this time around, everyone can interact with him.

This instance were the imaginary friend connects with his charge, does remind me of Cecilia Ahern's book "If You See Me Now" where the protag interacted with her imaginary friend, Ivan. Ivan remains invisible and will only appear to a person who is deeply in need of a friend. I hope the movie version of this one will not stray too much from the book. I was a little apprehensive with "PS. I Love You" and didn't really watch it. I sort of expected it to have British or even Irish actors due to the ambiance of the book. Except for Gerard Butler, it just wasn't enough. Oh, well. Maybe I wasn't ready to get teary-eyed again. The book had me weeping and it took a lot out of me.

Ooookay back to Tiffany's. :D

Michael and Jane caught up which lead to comedic moments in the movie. Ivan Sergei as Hugh brought him out as stock-up, a little bit self-important actor and astonishingly, all he cared was ME. Stockard Channing as Vivian was a little underused and I think she made the most out of her scenes. I thought showing us that Michael can interact with other imaginary friends was quite interesting and not done before so I wish that had been expanded a little more.

The movie might turn into a frustrating watch for some people well the people in my household did but I thought it was still enjoyable even if predictable in some parts but it's the way these things like these are, you just go on for the ride, suspend most of your belief and all things movie-related that have touched about imaginary friends. I think there were few movies out about it. I'm not sure or I might be mixing up the books. Anyway, I wished some more thought was given to the rise of the imaginary friends, I thought it would be interesting. It wasn't explored in the movie except Michael said about the rules, Jane pretty much was resigned not to further asked him where he came from since she already thought she was having a delusional episode.

All in all, the movie focused on Jane and Michael's reunion and everything else was auxiliary before Michael realized why he came back after all.

I recommend this to anyone looking for a weekend watch and let's the movie tell its story. This was set in Christmas so a light Holiday movie.

I haven't read the book so I don't know how much difference when it came into the movie version.

I saw an ad yesterday as I was visiting Yahoo mail about knowing what kind of dragon and just for the fun of it went to start the quiz and see how far I'll get before the prompt "Get a chance to win a new Nokia 5250..." appeared. I think it was by question 3 or 4 when the quiz turned a bit serious. As serious as choosing a suitable business package for your company. Anyway, I just stopped here since I was curious what it'll say with MY type of managing skills. :D hahah.

On the other note, of the blogging kind, I'll be coming back as soon as I can get my routine in order. Was it wrong to do create two blogs? lolz.

What kinds of books do you like to read? Why? Provide specific examples?

This is going to be in phases.

Grade school, I was pretty much into the world of Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys which lasted until I was in Freshman high school. I was an avid collector of these books and it was quite interesting to see when book cover art changed whenever a different publisher came on board. I think I've always like the Minstrel Books or the Wanderer Books. Why I like the series so much? I was quite sickly growing up and the books propelled me to adventures that made me feeling healthy and forget I was confined to the bed. I felt the exhilaration running beside Nancy and she ducked for cover to prevent the bad guys from catching her or concentrating on my balance on a precarious ledge with the Frank and Joe as they investigate a clue to stop the baddies from getting away.

Soon, Star Trek: The Next Generation characters swept me (thanks to the TV series) and the books sent me journeying to the stars and the galaxies which pretty much lasted until I was in my senior year in college. Trekkie? Yes, pretty much and I was a padawan of the Force too. I like this particular sci-fi books because I like the idea where humans have become fully actualized people as portrayed in (Star Trek) and are exploring the cosmos. While with Star Wars, it was obvious, who wouldn't want to be a Jedi? *wink* Come on, don't tell me you haven't day dreamed about it. :D I haven't came across a StarWars and Star Trek: TNG cross-over in fanfiction. If anyone can recommend a good story, do leave a link to it. :D

Joining the work force made me buy office related books and I was also, reading books about screenwriting too. I was later intrigued by chick-lit books especially those written by Cecelia Ahern. sister of Georgina, who is the better half of Nicky Byrne, one-fourth member of Westlife, one of my fave music vocal groups. Then I came back to my sci-fi leanings when I saw Stargate: Atlantis books continuing the saga after the TV series wrapped up.

I took up reading mystery books especially from Mary Higgins Clark since I was feeling the gnawing bite of depression at the edges of my mind a couple of years back. Reading her books sorted me out while struggling with the career change due the economic trends in the country. I also wanted to learn how mystery writers flesh out their characters since I was in the midst of *still* developing a draft script. Later, I went to buying several YA books and shared my thoughts in my other blog, Passages of the Pen, which I put all the book and TV reviews over there. While this one has reviews of TV too ( only Fringe, which I would like to get back) , book wrap-up thoughts, movie reviews, photo blog, garden, adventures and whatever under the sun.

I hope they'll sing some of their new songs from their new album, Waiting for Daylight. :D Pleeeassseeee I like to hear "All or Nothing!" I'm hoping to see some our friends there too.

We actually give each other two author names and throughout the 12 months, when we visit our favorite book thrift shop, we'd be on the lookout for each other's authors. If we find a book, we'd SMS each other. If it turns out the book title we don't have yet then, it's a book exchange. Why? We like to complete the collection since it's from our fave authors :D

My interest with this particular animation series is purely the characters drawing, writing, and the stories the writers put out. Okay, the whole thing. :) I followed the show since Ben 10 was released with a hyper ten-year old Ben and finding the Omnitrix. Through the seasons the writers would reference previous episodes which was good since I thought it expanded the arcs especially Kevin Levin's mysterious and shady past. The latest is Ben 10: Ultimate Alien where Ben is now I think 17 years old here. Of course, the occasional familiar actors taking a voice guest spot is a boot too like Paradox voiced by David McCallum (NCIS fans will know him as Dr. Donald "Duckie" Mallard) Dwight Schultz as Doc Animo and Wil Wheaton (Stand By Me, Star Trek: The Next Generation and Leverage, Criminal Minds etc) as Darkstar. Maybe I should have been doing reviews of the show ages ago. I don't follow Generator Rex but I can see the similarities of the drawing style of the show. Of course, if it came from one prod co, the touch of the animator will crop up. :) I'm totally looking forward to the crossover.

This week's musing...

Other than for school, do you read books to learn how to do something? What was/were the topic(s)?

I acquainted myself in the world of screenwrting before and managed to get a hang of it. I drafted several pages (and many more) before entering a writing contest hosted by Scriptapalooza. I may not have reached the semis but the whole process was a good tingle that I haven't felt for quite a long time. I also began buying supplement books and "Writing Treatments that Sell" was one of them. I haven't pitched anything yet since I'm approaching it in baby steps. lolz. Then I had a major career change in my life that the drive to dapple on this project was shelved (not only figuratively). I hope to get back on this once all these other worries get sorted out.

Halloween is coming up and I've visited bibliophile friends' sites and check what's on their reading lists or scary-themed lists.

From those visits, I've tagged books here and there which later found themselves in my own TBR Thursdays lists and during my usual blog readings, I read this "What's my favorite scary book?" For the life of me, I can't recall at least one book but I know I've read ones at least. so with the help of Goodreads list of horror books, I found what I did read before. It's pretty short list since horror is not my genre that I like to check out.

I recall first reading this back in grade school, it was part of our assignment about reading one story a week then we were to write a book report every Monday. Lolz. I think it was also keep children sit still too in class. This was the story I got to read at home under a candle so it was memorable. It did wonders for my eyes (hence wearing contact lens now) haha. Anyway, I was kid, engrossed with the story and I remembered going breathless and made sure my head was still attached to my body. Tsk. It was unnerving since I also ended up keeping watch at the darkened tableau outside my window. If I had lived in a place where wolves roam, it would complete the chilly mood. '☺

It was gorgeous looking kit. It was funny after Reader's Digest Asia sent me the tracking number, I was frequently checking DHL. I saw the package's journey in real-time whether it was held up or if it was en route. lolz

This little loot gave possibilities to make me try my hand in being creative. Lolz. I just realized we shouldn't discount those grade school art subjects/projects, they will come in handy! I remember my art teacher gave us a calligraphy project and I distinct recall how challenging it was. Haha. I nearly bribe a fellow classmate with my snack to do the assignment since he was a Jedi-master with his pencil. Of course, I didn't since I felt that I've cheated myself so I worked on it. My art teacher gave me a passing score for the effort. Lolz. Ah, kid memories....

No, I will not be negative about the experience. I will meet the challenge with a smile and lots of perseverance. '☺

I finally found the set list

So this is "Only Girl in the World." I thought I was able to get "Time of My Life" but I have no vid of it. It was great!

Kian powers through Bad Romance" and here ends my vid recount. As you can see from the setlist I wasn't able to record clips for the rest of the songs. The battery called it quits that night. I hope you still enjoyed the vids even if the views were more stand steady.

The concert may look pretty basic to the occasional bystander but it was tremendously well-received. Let's face it, we're half way across the globe, access to their usual equipment and crew is very limited. I often wonder what it would be like when one is their home turf, (UK and Irish venues). I think differences abound and it still be different from watching their concert dvds from the comforts of one's living room than actually being there at one of their venues.

As of 20+ hours ago, Westlife flew the last leg of their return home flight and reached their "beloved Emerald Isle" as Shane tweeted.

It's time to bring Gravity album as I can't place this song yet. I remember something my friend, dvampyrlestat told me that Shane was doing more song adlib-ing at the concert. I joked perhaps Mark's style was starting to rub off on him. I think it kewl that they do. Songs needn't have to be studio-sound all the time. I like them giving a song a different arrangement as much as a next fan.

Drats! THIRD costume change for the evening and I had to go just about bonkers in a couple of videos that, that was too embarrassing to post here. I remembered another highlight:

Shane wanted to know which area was the loudest and when it came to our area, we all screamed our lungs out that Shane said we're the most enthusiastic section! Yay!

When I saw that I almost fell off my seat. Too bad that's not twitter MY name. haha

What a night! I'm home after spending almost two days in Manila with my friend, dvampyrlestat (an LJ nickname if you're all wondering) '☺ and two more of her friends (who I've unfortunately forgotten their online nicks) afterwards when dvampyrlestat mentioned them on our way back to our hotel, which this time around was only a walking distance away from Smart Araneta Coliseum

I'll start with Saturday Snapshots entry then go to the Main Event post. Lolz. Highlights of the concert:

Nicky shared to the audience what the hotel receptionist said to him when they checked in. Nicky: I grew up listening to their songs way back when I was in grade school!"The crowd exploded in cheer. Nicky: "Now I feel old."
Shane imitated a Pinoy enthusiastic fan. Shane: Hello ....(he screams complete with a giddy expression on his face!) The audience love it! He was so adorably comedic (even if we all knew he has kid already) for doing it.
Kian sang Mandy in acapella to his lucky fan up on stage with him (when Wesltife chose lucky fans respectively). It was so great to hear Kian's baritone in the semi-hush crowd.
Kian: ..." oh Mandy

Westlife brought their A-game and showed with quaint choreography steps. Wait, before you all fell off your seats, it's not like the moves from Step Up movies. It was more of like heel -toe touch, touch/turn to the left tap-tap-tap, turn around in unison, which was so great to watch (from afar) etc.
Mark and Shane showcased a higher range in their singing.

Those are my highlights and I think I've forgotten some.

Westlife on stage! A sold out concert

I was nearly panicking as I set my camera into Intelligent Mode (you know, the camera decides for you what settings are appropriate because on auto (with flash) the lads on stage were hardly visibly now with the stage lights on full throttle. If I forced flash off my shots, it was bad too. The technicalities of all. haha. I apologize in advance if the following vids are jittery. I can't contain my excitement.

In my excitement I forgot to increase the zoom of my camera to its limit! When I did though, parts of the song weren't recorded and I unwittingly cut at the part where the lads did their dance steps to save battery life.

Since I missed part of their dance steps, I made sure I could get bits more it! Facing the stage, Nicky's on my left followed my Mark, Shane, and Kian!

At end of "When She's Looking That" where Mark greeted Manila and received a screaming welcome! I just love that the TV cam caught his reaction to it! Again, when I zoomed, the parts of what Mark said weren't recorded.

I apologize for the technical difficulty at the beginning of this vid. I don't know why the cam decided to go out of focus that I missed portions of the song intro. The intro was rearranged and it was great! I remedied it by zooming out then zoomed back in. The lads singing "World of Own".

Okay, I'll briefly end my account here just so I can get to the next vids. I've decided to break the account over several days so it won't get too long. This makes the experience last just little longer.'☺

The Loner

I was browsing Goodreads and came about this ad for Graphic Audio, which tickled my curiosity. Are all audio books carry these much sound effects?

Considering it said, "Full Cast Dramatization, Cinematic Music and Sound Effects." I was listening to the sample audio of "The Loner" and it was so engrossing. ☺ It was like watching "Justified".

The site was easy to navigate with simple drop-down menus found at the top or if you prefer growing through the links (they're on your left) to lead you to the selected section you want to go. Some genres have limited options at the moment and I'm sure they'll be adding more collection choices. The rest that are already in their site are good and already interesting to me. I guess being a DC fan: Green Lantern Sleepers Book 2, Crisis of Infinite Earths etc would get me to check it out. I would like to hear more from the DC collections but they have short sample listening time than the others which can go up to six minutes. :)

I'm listening to their upcoming releases: Dragon King Trilogy (01): In the Hall of the Dragon King (1 of 2). Another engrossing saga I believe. ☺

This was shared by Mr.Thomas Gibson from his tumblr page and from viewing the photo, it looked like Penelope's clicking the control and doing her own thing, Agent Rossi, seemed to be well... he appeared to be reacting to something said around the round table whilst the director in the background tried to keep the mild chaos under wraps as the other crew members watched on. Someone has found the colorization feature quite entertaining. Lolz.

I didn't realize that almost a week came when I came back in here. ☺ I was visiting nablopomo with prompts and this question was listed. I thought I give it a try.

So far I haven't been to a lot of places and if we're going to use two places where I once lived, I chose neither because both have issues of crowded neighborhoods and getting burgled too. *shudders*

When Mandy and her husband plan a three-week European vacation without their three kids, Kathryn convinces Jennifer to help watch them until she can get into town.

Jennifer quickly finds out playing house isn’t for kids. It doesn't take long for Jennifer realize she has to go from cool aunt to strict parent if she’s going to keep her sister’s trust. But, with a little help from the handsome new neighbor across the street, Will (Warren Christie), Jennifer manages to pull it together to prove to everyone, and even herself, that taking responsibility can be rewarding.

Mini-Review

It was great seeing Anna Chlumsky back and she looked at ease as she portrayed Jennifer Mills in the movie. Man, I wish I had her boss, Charlie Marshall (portrayed by Garry Chalk), head of a local graphics/advertising company. He was very considerate and understanding for giving her that much time off from work. I wonder if Jennifer's mom had anything to do with it. However, it wasn't shown so it was left to the viewer's imagination. I was giggling when older sister Mandy (the mom) has the children's life put together, tagged, coded and highlighted in an instruction manual AKA the clear book. Wow. I have friends with kids and they said it was almost similar at their households when they have the in-laws to take care of their kids.

I thought it was good the 'catty' debate between the sisters was reeled in because when it wasn't it can be annoying and destroys the scene to the point that it can flail the pace too.

Enter the possible love interest, although I had a feeling that they might end up together, Jennifer was seeing someone who she will reconsider after a disappointing remark from the guy. Okay, back to the love interest.... hahaha....Warren Christie was very appealing as he walked the shoes of Will, the neighbor and apparently can whip a meal at the drop of a hat since he used to be an owner of a resto (just from the small reveal through the dialgoue). He seemed to have easily shed off the bad guy persona that I usually see him cast in. This of course, piqued my interest and every scene he was in made me giggle like silly. (Opps, trying to turn off the fangirl mode and fail). I've seen him in Alphas and I think he's doing great there too.

The one thing that made it a little predictable was the scene between Mandy and her husband, after some differing of opinions. I wish the scene was handled a little differently since it sort of dragged there fortunately, pace picked up and before you know it, grandma and grandpa (with no hip problem at all) was finally making the appearance and explain what this orchestrated activity was set out to do. ☺

The story was good. The characters went through their learning curves and dealt the situations they found themselves in.

All in all, a good dose of real world drama from the kids' world that Jennifer adequately faced and being the youngest didn't mean she'd be a pushover, heart warming mother and daughters time, and finding a good guy to boot. ☺ I give it a ♪♪♪♪ out of 5 musical notes
