I practically stopped when I spotted this mushroom sprouting near the plant's base.

I haven't seen yellow mushrooms before so that's why I was a little wigged out. To participate in

I love finding mushrooms crop up. I've never seen yellow ones either.
ReplyDeleteThey look like little space aliens!
ReplyDeleteThose are weird little growths, like something you would find on another planet.
ReplyDeleteLove the bizarre fungi. I never realized how many types of fungus grow until I hiked some on the Appalchian Trail. My favorite was a pink fuzzy one that looked like those snack cakes call snowballs, but pink
ReplyDeleteThose are some crazy looking mushrooms!
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely unusual creations, aren't they? Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteHere's MY SATURDAY SNAPSHOT

I would never have guessed that is a mushroom. Maybe an alien mushroom?
ReplyDelete:)
They look like sea creatures - like closed anemones. :)
ReplyDeleteThose are so creepy but I can't stop looking! They look like they belong under your astronomy pic of the day.
ReplyDeleteThose are really strange little mushrooms, I wonder what they're really called.
ReplyDeleteThat is really different. I've had a lot of mushrooms pop up in my plants but never a yellow one.
ReplyDeleteCool looking mushrooms. Fungus can be fascinating!

ReplyDelete@Louise Yeah. I even wonder if it grows because of the plant or the fertilizer I'm using that the soil mixes everything then these mushrooms find it cozy to grow.
ReplyDelete@Beachreader Right on! I think this is where illustrators get their inspirations.
ReplyDelete@TrishYes...it's amazing. I do feel like I'm visiting another planet.
ReplyDelete@Paulita Really, do you have picture of them? I would love to see those mushrooms you found. ☺
ReplyDelete@Lisa@ButteryBooksYeah, there were another different looking ones but I wasn't able to take photos of them. I hope they'll pop out again.

ReplyDelete@gautami tripathy thanks! Hopping to your link
ReplyDelete@readerofthepackThat's right now that you've mentioned it. It also looks like fingers reaching out.
ReplyDelete@Sherrie Yeah, very weird looking ones. My hair sort of curled when I first saw them. They looked like the advance party of an invading group. Thanks for the link. Hopping to it.
ReplyDelete@Pooch Haha, yeah. Must be ones Agent K are trying to secure.
ReplyDelete@Alyce I wanted to touch them but I'm afraid I get some form of allergic that will make me miserable. I wish there was a scientist in the house. It would be interesting biology work.
ReplyDelete@Jess - A Book HoarderHehehe. Very much so.
ReplyDelete@mostraum I wonder too. I'd settle if anyone in the neighborhood will check this one under a microscope
ReplyDelete@Leslie Yes, quite unusual

ReplyDelete@Christine Rains yes, they are. They can also make you feel the wonder of it all too.
ReplyDelete@VickiAlmost mutated but they could still transform. Hmm, maybe I'll wait for them to develop further. Yikes, fodder for nightmares. Lolz Thanks for the link, visiting your page.
ReplyDeleteThat is a strange mushroom, I've never seen one like that either.
