Saturday Snapshots: A Different World

I practically stopped when I spotted this mushroom sprouting near the plant's base.

I haven't seen yellow mushrooms before so that's why I was a little wigged out.  To participate in Saturday Snapshots meme hosted by Alyce @ at home with books, post a photo that you ( or a friend or a family member) have taken and then leave a direct link to your post at her site.     I love finding mushrooms crop up. I've never seen yellow ones either.

    Love the bizarre fungi. I never realized how many types of fungus grow until I hiked some on the Appalchian Trail. My favorite was a pink fuzzy one that looked like those snack cakes call snowballs, but pink

    That is really different. I've had a lot of mushrooms pop up in my plants but never a yellow one.

    @Louise Yeah. I even wonder if it grows because of the plant or the fertilizer I'm using that the soil mixes everything then these mushrooms find it cozy to grow.

    @Alyce I wanted to touch them but I'm afraid I get some form of allergic that will make me miserable. I wish there was a scientist in the house. It would be interesting biology work.
