Saturday Snapshots: Ground Lily blooming

I"m ready for my close up

I wasn't able to take photos of the previous blooms due to the camera getting busted early but finally I get to take photo of one of the blooming ground lilies that my very dear friend gladly shared several bulbs for me to perk up the little pathway.

Dizzy? ☺
Hop to Alyce's blog and check out Saturday Snapshots.

  1. That's a magnificent lily, I don't think I've seen one quite like that. The stripes are gorgeous.

  14. @Louise Thank you. I hope this one would be a lone bloom. I can't wait for the others show their flowers. :D

    @Trish Really? ☺ Come to think of it now that you've mentioned it, I'm seeing the candy cane connection too.

    @Kaye Peppermint sticks, cool. Have good weekend too.

    @Lisa Thanks, I also think that way too when the lily start their opening up and revealing their beauty.

    @Jennifer Thanks.

    @Dizzy C The stripy pattern also what attracted me too just as my friend described it to me. It is refreshing to see Nature and now, I'm understanding why there are people who like to be surrounded by blooming things. There is certainly a vibrancy that you can feel when you keep still and listen. Have a good week too! ☺

    @Creations by Laurel-Rain Snow - Wow, we almost carry the same name. ☺ My name starts with an L too.

    @Paulita Wow, I can call them that than just plain ground lily ☺

    @Wanda I wish it was peppermint smell but the fragrance is too faint to absolute non-existent tho. ☺

    @Vicki Thanks. The wavy designs of the wall contrasted (as mentioned above) the flower's stripe patterns.

    @bermudaonion It is now. ☺

    @Alyce Oh, a keen eye! Thanks☺

    @Irish Thank you. Never thought it would turn out nice in the end. ☺

    @Diane Bibliophile By the Sea - Thanks, I'm wishing very hard that the lilies bloom all at the same time. They did one several months ago. It was only this time they haven't been cooperative. ☺

    @Leslie Thank you. This is my first time to start out potted gardening too so I'm still trying to get acquainted with ornamental plants. ☺

  15. @gautami tripathy thank you :D I do wish all the lilies bloom simultaneously. It has not been repeated yet. :D Well, there would be another but the stalk got bent so the flower eventually withered.
