I'm still feeling out of sorts since Saturday and I can't get my seriousness back to work. Ack! The concert was fantastic from start to finish. This was my first time to attend a concert where three big acts were performing under one roof. I felt like I was in a Smash Hits Road Show events. I'll try to get some screen caps posted over the week. I'm still not functioning properly. hahaha

Music Monday (5)
Holding on and Letting Go by Ross Copperman
I heard this when CSI: New York ended their season run and we saw Detective Mac Taylor looking around his lab and seeing his team in their respective offices. I hope the show returns soon.

Ben 10: Omniverse Bandai product launch
@ManofAction shared this video several days ago which showcased some new alien characters from the Ben 10 Omniverse. According to the product representative in the video, "the show will be bringing all of Ben's worlds together..." and from there explain Ben's lost years from when he was 10 until 15 years old. I guess I'll have to wait how that will roll out in Cartoon Network to see what it's really all about and the format. I like the new alien characters though. :D It still takes getting use to Ben 10's new look. Why was it a complete overhaul of the characters' designs? So it won't get too boring? Really? I prefer the clean lines of Alien Force and Ultimate.

Deviant Art Feature: Girl Power:Gwen Tennyson By DivineRoseBoot
My friend, Dvampyrlestat once mentioned a cool site for checking out manips a couple of years back and last week, I visited the site again and found a lot of jaw-dropping creations. I specifically went to Ben 10 Canonicity and this was one was my fave.
This was made by DivineRoseRoot, which I have asked permission to post here. She has a deviant art page where you can check out her creations.Oh, if only I could draw.... :D

A fun forum question was highlighted when I visited Ben 10 Alien Force Page in Cartoon Network Philippines: "Why do you think Ben doesn't always transform into the alien that he wants to?"
A: I think from what I noticed, the Omnitrix somehow knew what alien form is best suited for the situation.
Then from Ultimate Alien forum highlighted from Cartoon Network Philippines page: "Which alien has the best Ultimate Form?
A: I can't decide between Ultimate Big Chill or Ultimate Echo-echo. :D

Visit the other posts here too.
This was something from the time capsule. Mom was sorting the closet to choose which clothes we would donate and she came across this blouse and skirt ensemble, which happened to be my home economics project back in high school (some 20 years ago) *gasp* and it was perfectly preserved. lolz. The color hasn't faded which I think was because I used it once so it didn't spend so many times in the laundry cycle. Of course, I said to mom, not to give it away. I mean it was a project, I want to keep it for sentimental reasons. I didn't know I had a much slighter frame then and that waist! Hahaha enuf said. :D

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Voyage of Dawn Treader was airing this month and I keep missing the whole movie. I usually get the ending. Anyway, I thought this was a beautiful track to wrap the movie.

Novel by:
Jobie Hughes and James Frey as Pittacus Lore
Synopis from IMDB
Aliens and their Guardians are hiding on Earth from intergalactic bounty hunters. They can only be killed in numerical order, and Number Four is next on the list. This is his story.

Ben 10: Omniverse
Yesterday ManofAction, the production outfit behind Ben10 sent a twitter post about a new show coming out later this year. I was curious and followed the link. I thought at first it was going to be younger Ben set before Alien Force and Ultimate series but the new aliens was a give away that well, I don't know...I'm speculating at this point. I guess we'll have to wait.
*gulps*
And like I said in my reply, I was certainly hoping the character designs of Ben 10 from the Ultimate series would have been retained at least like the one below.

The Last Airbender: Noah Ringer at the ATA Tournament 2012
Link |
The Last Airbender movie poster was behind him, similar to the one on the right but with certain changes.
The poster at the ATA Roklin, CA event carried names of the honored guests from the American Taekwondo Association. I wish there was another shot of the poster so we can full see what the rest of the tag said. I can only make out "Owes Martial Arts" and "...regionals"
Side note: I also found The Last Airbender Manga which I wrote a review.
I was curious about the event and viewed a couple of clips on Belt Testing. I think this was in Concord.
Made me miss that part of me. :D Given the length of time, yeah, I'd be going for this level too. Good times.
I'm not included here although it had been a goal of mine. :D The 2009 Philippine Taekwondo Jins. Cheers!

Music Monday (3)
Episode 13 Season 3 "Bringing out the Dead" was troublesome for several of the characters. Caroline, my fave character faced the loss of her father who opted not to transition into a vampire. Caroline, was willing to force him to take vampire blood but her father wouldn't hear any of it because it what was he believed in, it was his strength. I'm curious to see how this will affect Caroline, of course. Would she even go through bereavement like a normal human? Perhaps since she is still not as old as the Salvatore brothers and even close to Klaus and his siblings. Yet Damon said they (vampires) can opt to switch off their humanity. It sounds too easy for them, huh? Not facing the burden and anguish of losing a love one. Another character that I like is Alaric. He stood in place like a uncle for Elena and Jer and now, someone in Mystic Falls is targeting the founders. It seems the enchanted ring he's wearing is taking its time to help him under supernatural death. Does that bode well to Alaric? Definitely not especially to Elena who at this episode could no longer bear to lose a family member. The song was played towards the end of show as Caroline's father passed and switching from Elena waiting for Alaric to heal.

Skywatch Friday
I was searching for my next Skywatch pic in my folders and I just couldn't help not notice the date when this was taken. :D I guess I must have went with Doc Brown in his cool Delorean. This was actually New Year's Eve 1/1/2012 and I even forgot to use the Fireworks feature/setting of the camera so I don't know how if there would be any difference. The fireworks sure looked like frostings on the cake.
Book Tunes (2)
Book Tunes is a new meme that will be held on Fridays and the point is to share the book your reading and a song you think represents it. This is hosted by Amber at Downtherabbithole.
From Goodreads:
Supernatural is the cult CW show from the producers of The O.C. andThe X-FiIes, starring Jared Padalecki (Gilmore Girls) and Jensen Ackles (Smallville). Prepare for a spooky roadtrip through the dark heart of America!
Brothers Sam and Dean Winchester cruise America’s back roads in their 1967 Chevy Impala, searching for their father. Raised to fight paranormal evil, along the way they confront creatures most people believe exist only in folklore and nightmares, including wendigos, ghosts, pagan gods and demons.
This official companion is packed with exclusive interviews, photos, behind the scenes secrets, a complete episode guide, plus a color portrait gallery of the stars.

I heard this song during an intermission at the "Face to Face Westlife Concert Tour" and I said to my friend that this song fits Dean Winchester to a T especially the part, where "I would walk 500 more" since it seemed like that he had. If you've been following the show since it premiered, Dean, I think walked many miles in his shoes. So when I was reading the companion book, I recalled this song. :D I wish the song did make it in the show's OST but after so far it hasn't.

Kripke and JJ Abrams collaboration :D
We've seen what J.J. Abrams can do :Lost, Fringe, Super 8 (which I haven't seen yet and I'm looking forward to Alcatraz), Star Trek Reboot and Eric Kripke with his super hit "Supernatural," "Boogeyman", and a new show coming "Deadman" (which I'm eager to see) are teaming up for a TV project called "Revolution," which is going to be a thriller/adventure show.
I'm so excited with this collaboration and I find it utterly interesting too. Even though I lost my way in Lost - too many POVs, Fringe revitalized my interest back to the writing prowess of Mr. Abrams. I'm curious what "Revolution" will offer us. As always for all new shows, I hope ample time and enough marketing will make the show known enough to a lot of possible viewers. Yeah, I'm still pining why Chaos was scrubbed. :(

This was two days later from the Chinese New Year Celebration. I was the second flight of steps and waiting at the landing for the Chinese dragon and Lion dances to commence. I heard a lot of drums at the background but no sign of the Chinese dragon.

Gointothestory tweeted this for all Ringers and I just can't pass this up for not posting it here. Awesome performance and the cinematography and orchestra backing just gave me goosebumps. I didn't know violinist Lindsey Stirling was in the America's Got Talent. I wish there was iTunes Philippines. Argh. I can't wait for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey!

Planting Gaillardia
Almost a month ago, I tried my hand in planting Gaillardia from seeds. According to the seed pack, the seeds need to germinate for 15 days. Yet, 15 days passed and I was beginning to worry. I went online to check any additional information and according to several sites I visited today, the seeds prefer to be in a well-drained soil. I'm not sure if I placed enough coco fibers in the soil to let it breath. Does it look too pack? I also found out today that they have to be germinated under the full sun. The seed pack instructions wasn't very complete. I hope these will still grow.Do I need a seed starter mix? I hope not because I don't know where to get one. The garden store didn't mention or carried anything close to garden mix starter. I guess I will have to wait and see.
It would be cool if these bloom into this the picture on the right. :D
Some sites that talked about Gaillardia.
I think I should first research a flower and look up how to grow it before buying a seed pack. Well, too late, I just bought Cosmos and Picotee Cosmos seeds. hahah. I wonder what's their differences.

Music Monday (1)
The Voice was re-aired over at AXN Asia channel in preparation for Season 2 and I first heard this song from one of Mr. Zach Levi's tweetcasts and we all asked what the title of the song was and who sang. Apparently, he and his troop had left The Voice then. Subtly promoting his fave? I bet. :D *grinz* I was expecting to see a clip of ZL seated among the audience when AXN Asia aired the show, several months later but I didn't see him. I think Javier Colon is someone to watch out for and also Dia Frampton. :D

I've been sporadic with my photo captures lately and hope to change all that. :D Check out other entries here.
The other light sources are the windows. I like this one even if it came out blurry. A double moon feature :D I like the full moon because it was particularly bright. This was taken last year somewhere around August.

Ruby Red Tuesday 2
I've been seeing this meme for quite sometime but haven't a chance to join in the fun until now. I hope to make this photo hunt a regular feature as I started liking taking pictures. This is also my first time to make a button after forgetting more than half of the things I learned ages ago using Photoshop. Hmm, I think this button needs a border, right?
Chinese New Year 2012 was the main attraction at the mall yesterday and last weekend. I thought it would be nice subject for this. Check out the other participants here.

What's your Dragon?
I saw an ad yesterday as I was visiting Yahoo mail about knowing what kind of dragon and just for the fun of it went to start the quiz and see how far I'll get before the prompt "Get a chance to win a new Nokia 5250..." appeared. I think it was by question 3 or 4 when the quiz turned a bit serious. As serious as choosing a suitable business package for your company. Anyway, I just stopped here since I was curious what it'll say with MY type of managing skills. :D hahah.
On the other note, of the blogging kind, I'll be coming back as soon as I can get my routine in order. Was it wrong to do create two blogs? lolz.
